The goal of the Parsons Chamber of Commerce is to improve the quality of life for our members by promoting business and tourism while serving the needs of the community.  We seek to enhance and strengthen our members through marketing strategies that include referrals, networking opportunities and events that attract visitors to the area. Our purpose and focus is to build a better community and improve benefits to members and their employees. 

Benefits of Becoming a Chamber Member

You invest in the future of our community by joining the Parsons Chamber of Commerce.  The Chamber is dedicated to improving the overall quality of life of the Parsons community.  Our number one goal is to promote your business and offer opportunities for networking. In addition, your business is promoted through the Chamber's website, newsletters, sponsorship opportunities and marketing events.  Community members turn to the Chamber for information, and trust the Chamber to make referrals and recommendations.
 
As a Chamber member, your business will receive referrals first.  You will also be sent a plaque that identifies your business as a Chamber member.  Customers instantly recognize your support for the community.  In addition, you can offer information about your business in the chamber office, with brochures, business cards or promotional items, which offers exposure to newcomers and information seekers that come into the Chamber office.

Member-to-Member Benefits

The Parsons Chamber of Commerce is initiating a new marketing program that takes aim at connecting its entire membership. The program will promote benefits, in the form of discounts and services, exclusively offered by members to members.  

The new program, aptly called “Member-to-Member Benefits,” will operate with a program card that will be offered to every employee of member businesses. The cards will then be honored at participating member businesses providing the discount or special services.

Those members providing a discount or service will display a certificate to identify their participation.  Businesses will have total control over the benefits they choose to offer.  Any employee of a chamber member may receive the discount by simply showing their membership card.

The Chamber will encourage all employers, large or small, to distribute the Member-to-Member card to every employee, so every member can enjoy the benefits being offered.  Chamber leadership hopes this will strike a balance between the services of the smaller retail members and the large number of employees that are more typical of the manufacturing members.
           
The cards and certificates will be issued to coincide with the member’s renewal date and will be good for the length of their membership.  Retailers offering discounts can change them as often as they like.  In addition, the Chamber will feature benefits in the bi-monthly electronic newsletter.  For more information about the program contact the Parsons Chamber of Commerce, 421-6500.
